On December 1, 1940, Richard Pryor was born in Peoria, Illinois. Pryor had a difficult childhood, suffering abuse as he grew up in his grandmother’s brothel. But he would go on to be one of the greatest comedians of all time.
He also had a TV show in 1977 that ran for four episodes, The Richard Pryor Show.

Prior died at the young age of 55 on December 10, 2005.

Too numerous to have a favorite. Although his grandmother beating his legs as she punctuates each word with a whack is way up there.
