Whatever Makes You Smile

One of the many benefits we have gained from the resurgence of country singer Marty Brown has been his outstanding song “Whatever Makes You Smile.” It is one of those songs that continues to sound better each time we hear it.

In this video with his wife Shellie Brown, Brown explains how he came to write the song, first coming up with the groove and the opening lines, and then “it was off to the races.” He wrote the song in about thirty minutes. Shellie also explains how Marty wrote it both for her and for his ailing mom. Check out the video, which also includes a live performance of the song.

    Country singer and America’s Got Talent performer Marty Brown recently appeared on Bowling Green, Kentucky television station WBKO. The video does not include Brown performing, but it is a nice interview for us fans. In the segment, Brown talks about his new single, “Whatever Makes You Smile,” which Brown wrote as a Valentine’s Day present for his wife. He also discusses how they made the video for the song, and explains how one can know all they need to know about him just by watching his mom and dad dance. Check out the interview.

    Just in time for Valentine’s Day, country singer Marty Brown has completed the final touches on the video for his new post-America’s-Got-Talent single. So, whether or not you are driving night and day to bring someone pretty flowwers, check out the video for the love song “Whatever Makes You Smile,” which features the Glasgow Fire Department (and Brown’s real-life wife Shellie Brown near the end).

    Marty Brown has released a “sneak peak” at the upcoming video for his single, “Whatever Makes You Smile.” The video from the 1990s country music star and recent America’s Got Talent comeback artist contains a bit of the end of the song as well as some other footage. Check it out.

    Marty Brown on “Words & Music”

    Continuing his comeback tour after his appearances on America’s Got Talent, Marty Brown recently appeared on Nashville’s Channel 5 on the show Words & Music. On the show, artists discuss and play their songs. On this episode, Marty Brown played his new single “Whatever Makes you Smile” and “I’m From the Country.” In this segment, he introduces and sings “I’m From the Country.”

    Here he sings his single, “Whatever Makes You Smile.” In introducing it, he explains how his wife Shellie tricked him into appearing on America’s Got Talent.

    Interestingly, in the clip Brown explains how the producers of America’s Got Talent knew about his 1990s recordings from the very beginning. In these Internet days, that news is not very surprising, but the revelation helps further debunk some Internet commenters who had surmised the show’s producers did not know Brown had earlier recorded some records.

    I’m hoping we see Brown performing on some more TV shows. Marty Brown’s got talent.
